Jason Wormer
Wormonger

Jason grew up in a very musical family.  By the age of 16 he was studying bluegrass, classical, jazz, and rock music.   He was given a Fostex 4 track recorder in 1993 and since then his life has never been the same.

Jason graduated Berklee College of Music with a  Bachelor’s Degree in Music Production and Engineering in 1998 and moved to Los Angeles to work at the famous Village Recording Studios.  He worked alongside world class engineers on records by artists like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, James Taylor, Neal Young, Jeff Lynn, Alanis Morrissette, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Melissa Etheridge, Anita Baker, Rickie Lee Jones, Sam Phillips, Lucinda Williams, Mariah Carey, the White Stripes, R.E.M, Keb’ Mo’, and T Bone Burnett.

In 2006 he became a freelance engineer working almost exclusively for T Bone Burnett.  They have collaborated with Willie Nelson, Gregg Allman, John Mellencamp, Elvis Costello, Steve Earle, Elton John, Leon Russell, and many many more.

His film and TV work includes Black Hawk Down, Across the Universe, Nashville, The Hunger Games and True Detective.

When Jason is out of the studio you can find him trying to keep pace with his wife for ½ marathons or picking up some new instrument and learning to play it in pretty much no time flat.
